It was the first day of October but it was unseasonably warm. Lenny and I had the afternoon to ourselves. You know what's awesome? Being able to decide that you'd like to go to the beach and then 30 minutes later being there. It's easy to lose sight of how amazing our waterfront is. Watching Lenny's sense of wonder at every rock she found, at the current of the water and passing seagulls is a great gift from our city.
Next time I'll remember to bring her a change of clothes.
