Bruce Cockburn at Luminato this June

9.3.10

Luminato is one of Toronto's youngest arts festivals, but also one of the city's most loved and certainly its most ambitious. Now in its fourth year, Luminato is an annual ten-day celebration of the arts where Toronto's stages, streets, and public spaces are infused with theatre, dance, classical and contemporary music, film, literature, visual arts, and design.

A press conference was held today to announce Luminato's 2010 music line up which features the North American premieres of the Rufus Wainwright opera Prima Donna, The Infernal Comedy: Confessions of a Serial Killer which stars two time Academy Award nominee John Malkovich and the return of the crowd favourite Canadian Songbook series to Massey Hall, this time highlighting the forty year career of guitar-legend Bruce Cockburn who was on hand this morning at the announcement.

It was great fun shooting the announcement this morning. I can't wait to see what else Luminato has up their collective sleeve for us this June!

Janice Price, Chief Executive Officer of Luminato.

Chris Lorway, Artistic Director of Luminato.

Canadian music legend, Bruce Cockburn.

  1. Hello. I know you from somewhere. Somewhere in the distant past?
