It's been almost a week, and we're back in the T-dot.
There was the good - Preservation Hall, Terence and Herbie, Cafe du Monde
There was the bad - The Greyhound bus, Jazz Fest, Bourbon Street
There was the ugly - Food poisoning for the Robeau
I'll report back soon with details and some of the many, many pictures I snapped.

An aside: BT, I hugged Pete Fountain, just for you!
BT is grateful. I'm sure PF was too!
ReplyDeleteSorry about the bad - food poisoning is ugly.
That bad Jazzfest, would that be the jazzfest I kept seeing on television with no jazz guys?
Wecome home.
Yes, that was the fest. It wasn't the programming I had the problem with. Well, that's not entirely true. Mostly it's just that we're not *that kind* of fest-people. Too much work, not enough pay off. Couldn't bring myself to get as drunk as I think you'd need to be to enjoy the fact that dirt is blowing in your face every minute you're there...that sort of thing. Let it be said here: I am too high maintenance for the NO jazz fest.
ReplyDeleteNot that I'm complaining. Had some GREAT experiences elsewhere. Photos, I'm hoping, will make an appearance tomorrow :)
