Way down yonder.

The last few days in New Orleans have been perfection. The Robeau and I are spending a week here as sort of a working vacation / babymoon. I love that feeling you get when you've been to a city enough to know your way around and feel comfortable but it's still got enough secrets and hidden gems to surprise and excite you.
There's nothing like that first beignet.
The people watching remains a photographer's dream.
Delfeayo Marsalis and The Uptown Jazz Orchestra killed it at Snug Harbor last night.
We even found what I can only describe as a colony of stray cats who live in Jackson Square to help ease our kitty withdrawal.
Tonight The Robeau goes into the studio to lay down some solo piano tracks, Saturday we're heading back to the Musicians' Village to deliver some gear to the kids and we have lots of kicking around time built in. Send my mail! Hold my calls! I may never come home.
